ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,298,847, issued on May 13, was assigned to Micron Technology Inc. (Boise, Idaho).

"Tracking host-provided metadata in a memory sub-system" was invented by Seungjune Jeon (Santa Clara, Calif.), Juane Li (Milpitas, Calif.) and Ning Chen (San Jose, Calif.).
