ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 13 -- United States Patent no. 12,520,841, issued on Jan. 13, was assigned to MICROBAN PRODUCTS COMPANY (Huntersville, N.C.).
"Durable anti-fungal and algae resistant coatings" was invented by Craig Lott (Denver, N.C.), Jesse Turmenne (Mount Holly, N.C.) and James Rapley (Huntersville, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A liquid anti-fungal and/or algae resistant composition that forms a clear coating on a substrate post-application in which the composition includes less than 0.01 wt % heavy metal containing components and less than 0.01 wt % fluoro containing components."
The patent was filed on Aug. 14, 2025, under Application No. 19/300,134.
