ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,534,655, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Mexichem Fluor S.A. de C.V. (San Luis Potosi, Mexico).

"Compositions" was invented by Robert E. Low (Runcorn, Great Britain).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The invention provides a composition comprising carbon dioxide (CO2, R-744), difluoromethane (R-32) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF3I) and the use of such a composition as a working fluid in a heat transfer system, such as a refrigeration, heat pump or air-conditioning system."

The patent was filed on Feb. 12, 2021, under Application No. 17/795,436.
