ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 8 -- United States Patent no. 12,435,323, issued on Oct. 7, was assigned to Metagenomi Inc. (Emeryville, Calif.).
"Enzymes with RUVC domains" was invented by Lisa Alexander (Albany, Calif.), Daniela S. A. Goltsman (Oakland, Calif.), Sarah Laperriere (Berkeley, Calif.) and Morayma Temoche-Diaz (Oakland, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides for endonuclease enzymes having distinguishing domain features, as well as methods of using such enzymes or variants thereof."
The patent was filed on Feb. 26, 2024, under Application No. 18/586,929.
