ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,417,591, issued on Sept. 16, was assigned to Meta Platforms Technologies LLC (Menlo Park, Calif.).

"Smart glasses with enhanced optical structures for augmented reality applications" was invented by Barry David Silverstein (Kirkland, Wash.) and Kieran Connor Kelly (Seattle).
