ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,284,499, issued on April 22, was assigned to Meta Platforms Technologies LLC (Menlo Park, Calif.).

"Augmented hearing via adaptive self-reinforcement" was invented by Andrew Lovitt (Redmond, Wash.) and Nicholas William Metzar (Beaverton, Ore.).
