ALEXANDRIA, Va., March 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,256,951, issued on March 25, was assigned to Merit Medical Systems Inc. (South Jordan, Utah).

"Catheter systems, kits, and methods for gaining access to a vessel" was invented by John Gurley (Lexington, Ky.).
