ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,310,945, issued on May 27, was assigned to Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC (Rahway, N.J.).
"Cyclohexylglycine derivatives as selective cytotoxic agents" was invented by Douglas C. Beshore (Lower Gwynedd, Pa.), Keith P. Moore (Doylestown, Pa.), Rajan Anand (Orinda, Calif.), Remond Moningka (Jersey City, N.J.) and William D. Shipe (Chalfont, Pa.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure is directed to cyclohexylglycine derivatives of Formula Iand their use as HIV-infected cell kill agents which accelerate the death of HIV GAG-POL expressing cells without concomitant cytotoxicity to HIV naive cells."
