ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,234,265, issued on Feb. 25, was assigned to Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC (Rahway, N.J.).

"Stabilized RSV F proteins and uses thereof" was invented by Lan Zhang (Chalfont, Pa.), Arthur Fridman (Lake Ariel, Pa.), Eberhard Durr (Quakertown, Pa.) and Andrew Bett (Lansdale, Pa.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The disclosure relates to stable RSV F proteins and immunogenic compositions containing the same, as well as methods of using the immunogenic compositions and compositions comprising the RSV F proteins."

The patent was filed on Dec. 20, 2022, under Application No. 18/068,867.
