ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,359,164, issued on July 15, was assigned to Merck Patent GmbH (Darmstadt, Germany).
"Process for producing cell culture media" was invented by Joerg Von Hagen (Pfungstadt, Germany), Nikolai Stankiewicz (Darmstadt, Germany) and Anke Simon (Riedstadt, Germany).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a process for manufacturing dry powder cell culture media. The preparation and usage of mixed particles generated by co-lyophilisation leads to cell culture media with improved solubility without changing the chemical composition."
