US Patent Issued to Merck Patent on Aug. 5 for "Process for manufacturing (S)-3-hydroxy-1-(1H-indol-5-yl)-2-oxo-pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid 3,5-difluoro-benzylamide" (German, Indian Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,378,225, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Merck Patent GmbH (Darmstadt, Germany).

"Process for manufacturing (S)-3-hydroxy-1-(1H-indol-5-yl)-2-oxo-pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid 3,5-difluoro-benzylamide" was invented by Timo Heinrich (Freigericht, Germany) and Jeyaprakashnarayanan Seenisamy (Bangalore, India).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A process can be used for manufacturing (S)-3-hydroxy-1-(1H-indol-5-yl)-2-oxo-pyrrolidine-3-carboxylic acid 3,5-difluoro-benzylamide."

The patent was filed on June 30, 2020, under Application No. 17/597,102.
