ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 26 -- United States Patent no. 12,398,325, issued on Aug. 26, was assigned to MERCK PATENT GMBH (Darmstadt, Germany).
"Liquid-crystal display" was invented by Shih-Hung Wang (Taipei, Taiwan), Chi-Shun Huang (Taoyuan, Taiwan), Jer-Lin Chen (Taoyuan, Taiwan) and Kuang-Ting Chou (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display (LCD) of the polymer stabilized ultra fast (PS-UF) twisted nematic (TN) mode, to an LCD obtained by this method and to an LC medium used therein."
