US Patent Issued to Menasha on June 3 for "One-piece carton with hang tab" (New Jersey Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 4 -- United States Patent no. 12,319,479, issued on June 3, was assigned to Menasha Corp. (Neenah, Wis.).

"One-piece carton with hang tab" was invented by Michael P. Donegan (Cherry Hill, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A one-piece carton with a strong hang tab includes a back wall, a bottom wall, a front wall, a top wall. A tab is formed from a first tab portion and a second tab portion to provide a tab having two layers of material. The tab can extend upward from the back wall of the container or from a mid-portion of the top wall.
