ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,458,939, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Meissner Filtration Products Inc. (Camarillo, Calif.).

"Connectors with cutting element" was invented by Andrew Govea (Ventura, Calif.), Katherine Conlin (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) and Max Blomberg (Templeton, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A connector including a body defining a flange and cutting element sliding between a first position within the body and a second position external of the flange."

The patent was filed on April 29, 2022, under Application No. 17/733,906.
