ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 11 -- United States Patent no. 12,543,991, issued on Feb. 10, was assigned to Medtronic Inc. (Minneapolis).

"Electrocardiogram gain adjustment" was invented by Erin N. Reisfeld (Minneapolis), Joseph C. Green (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) and Ryan D. Wyszynski (Oak Grove, Minn.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method comprises identifying P-waves within a cardiac signal stored by a medical device for a cardiac episode detected by the medical device, and calculating a gain factor for display of the cardiac signal based on the identified P-waves."

The patent was filed on Nov. 27, 2023, under Application No. 18/520,232.
