ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,211, issued on May 20, was assigned to Medtronic Navigation Inc. (Lafayette, Colo.).
"System and method for a tracked procedure" was invented by Justin Kemp (Erie, Colo.), Yvan Paitel (Louisville, Colo.), Andrew Wald (Denver), Trent Begin (Boulder, Colo.) and Nikhil Mahendra (Broomfield, Colo.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Disclosed is a navigation system. The navigation system may be used to at least assist in a procedure. The system may assist in delineating objects and/or determining physical boundaries of image elements. The system may assist in planning and/or a workflow of the procedure."
