US Patent Issued to Medtronic Navigation on June 17 for "Filter system and method for imaging a subject" (Massachusetts, New Hampshire Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 19 -- United States Patent no. 12,329,553, issued on June 17, was assigned to Medtronic Navigation Inc. (Lafayette, Colo.).

"Filter system and method for imaging a subject" was invented by David A. Garlow (Lynnfield, Mass.), Robert P. Cloutier (Lancaster, Mass.) and Elizabeth A. Levasseur (New Boston, N.H.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A method and system is disclosed for acquiring image data of a subject. The image data can be collected with an imaging system with at least two different energy characteristics. The image data can be reconstructed using reconstruction techniques."
