ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 16 -- United States Patent no. 12,303,560, issued on May 20, was assigned to MEDIGEN INC. (Frederick, Md.).
"Recombinant bovine immunodeficiency virus-like particles comprising an influenza HA transmembrane domain and C-terminus" was invented by Peter Pushko (Frederick, Md.) and Irina Tretyakova (Frederick, Md.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Described herein are Bovine immunodeficiency virus gag protein ("Bgag") recombinant virus like particles ("VLPs") comprising one or more different types of target pathogen proteins. Also described, are compositions comprising the novel Bgag VLPs and the methods of making and using the novel Bgag VLPs."
