ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,310,915, issued on May 27, was assigned to Medical Depot Inc. (Port Washington, N.Y.).
"Reclined crutch" was invented by Max Younger (Roeland Park, Kan.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A reclined forearm crutch includes a leg; and a cradle attached to the leg for supporting the forearm and elbow of a use. The cradle has a bounding surface area corresponding to at least 20 in2. The cradle is angled about 5 to about 50 degrees relative to vertical."
The patent was filed on Feb. 5, 2024, under Application No. 18/432,676.
