US Patent Issued to McAfee on Sept. 2 for "Safer password manager, trusted services, and anti-phishing process" (Belgian Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,407,711, issued on Sept. 2, was assigned to McAfee LLC (San Jose, Calif.).

"Safer password manager, trusted services, and anti-phishing process" was invented by Martin J. C. Pivetta (Luxemborg, Belgium).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Preventing anomalous connections includes detecting by a programmable device an attempt by a first device to connect to a second device, detecting a first connection anomaly responsive to characteristics of the first device and characteristics of one or more other devices, and prohibiting a connection between the first device and the second device responsive to detecting the first connection anomaly."
