ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,413,262, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to MaxLinear Inc. (Carlsbad, Calif.).
"Link loss detection" was invented by Raj Kumar Jain (Bangalore, India) and Ravindra Singh (Bangalore, India).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A coded signal is received via a physical link and decoded. A link loss of the physical link is detected based on at least one of the coded signal and said decoding."
The patent was filed on Nov. 18, 2015, under Application No. 15/527,123.
