"Forward cooling headlight" was invented by Nelson Rivas (East Meadow, N.Y.) and Gary Provenzano (Boca Raton, Fla.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "There is disclosed a forward cooling headlight comprising a body, a lens coupled to the body and a heatsink coupled to the body. There is also a heatpipe and at least one light. The light is coupled to the heatsink, wherein the heatpipe is coupled to the heatsink at a first end, and to the body at a second end.
