ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 21 -- United States Patent no. 12,441,939, issued on Oct. 14, was assigned to Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, Mass.).

"Light emitting nanocrystals and methods of making light emitting nanocrystals" was invented by Moungi Bawendi (Cambridge, Mass.) and Eric Hansen (Cambridge, Mass.).
