"Cell body targeted sensors" was invented by Or A. Shemesh (Cambridge, Mass.), Changyang Linghu (Cambridge, Mass.), Kiryl D. Piatkevich (Cambridge, Mass.), Edward S. Boyden (Cambridge, Mass.) and Won Min Park (Cambridge, Mass.).
