"Avatar-incentive healthcare therapy" was invented by Massi Joe E. Kiani (Laguna Niguel, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An avatar-incentive healthcare therapy system has a physiological monitor for generating a physiological parameter indicative of physical health. An academic test for generating a test score is indicative of mental acuity. The avatar has outward characteristics and game play capabilities proportional to the physiological health and the mental acuity so as to incentivize improved physical health and academic performance."
