"System and method for SRAM less electronic device bootup using cache" was invented by Ramacharan Sundararaman (San Jose, Calif.) and Avinash Sodani (San Jose, Calif.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A new approach is proposed to support SRAM less bootup of an electronic device. A portion of a cache unit of a processor is utilized as a SRAM to maintain data to be accessed via read and/or write operations for bootup of the electronic device.
