ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,408,990, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to MAKO Surgical Corp. (Weston, Fla.).

"Trackable protective packaging for tools and methods for calibrating tool installation using the same" was invented by Roberto Montane (Lake Worth, Fla.), Brandt Williams (Plantation, Fla.), Seamus Gilhooley (Athenry, Ireland), Jonathan Mark Morgan (Biscayne Park, Fla.), Mark Palm (Davie, Fla.) and Michael Vu (Sunrise, Fla.).
