ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,301,081, issued on May 13, was assigned to MAKITA Corp. (Anjo, Japan).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An electric work machine includes a motor, a driver, and a rotation sensor. The motor includes a stator, and a rotor of permanent-magnet type. The stator includes a cylindrical body, teeth, and coils. The rotation sensor is installed in an area of the stator close to the rotor than an area where the coils are disposed in a radial direction of the stator."
