ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,429,636, issued on Sept. 30, was assigned to Magic Leap Inc. (Plantation, Fla.).
"Diffraction gratings formed by metasurfaces having differently oriented nanobeams" was invented by Dianmin Lin (Los Altos, Calif.), Michael Anthony Klug (Austin, Texas), Pierre St. Hilaire (Belmont, Calif.), Mauro Melli (San Leandro, Calif.), Christophe Peroz (Setagaya-ku Tokyo, Japan) and Evgeni Poliakov (Oakland, Calif.).
