ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,371,368, issued on July 29, was assigned to Magic Leap Inc. (Plantation, Fla.).

"Patterning of high refractive index glasses by plasma etching" was invented by Mauro Melli (San Leandro, Calif.), Christophe Peroz (Tokyo) and Vikramjit Singh (Pflugerville, Texas).
