ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,380,609, issued on Aug. 5, was assigned to Magic Leap Inc. (Plantation, Fla.).

"Patch tracking image sensor" was invented by Martin Georg Zahnert (Zurich), Alexander Ilic (Zurich) and Erik Fonseka (Mountain View, Calif.).
