ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,370,600, issued on July 29, was assigned to M4 Sciences LLC (Lafayette, Ind.).

"Composite manufacturing methods using metal-polymer amalgamations" was invented by James B Mann (Pensacola Beach, Fla.), Brian J. Arnold (Pensacola, Fla.) and Brian D. Gootee (Martinsville, Ind.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A composite material includes a plurality of metallic particles formed through modulation-assisted machining. The composite includes a thermoplastic polymer matrix which binds the plurality of metallic particles."

The patent was filed on May 1, 2022, under Application No. 17/734,097.
