ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 12 -- United States Patent no. 12,388,236, issued on Aug. 12, was assigned to Lumentum Operations LLC (San Jose, Calif.).

"Bottom-emitting emitter array with a bottom side metal layer" was invented by Ajit Vijay Barve (San Jose, Calif.) and Eric R. Hegblom (Sunnyvale, Calif.).
