"Footwear having a suspended elastic membrane" was invented by Mark Arthur Oleson (Portland, Ore.), Michael Andrew Notrica (Portland, Ore.), Donald Taylor Johnston (Portland, Ore.), Michael Steszyn (Portland, Ore.), Peter Valois (Portland, Ore.), Peter Rueegger (Portland, Ore.) and Joseph McMillan (Portland, Ore.).
