ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,344,583, issued on July 1, was assigned to Lobe Sciences Ltd. (Vancouver, Canada).

"Solid psilocin salts" was invented by Frederick Sancilio (Stuart, Fla.), Yousry Sayed (Wilmington, N.C.), Maghsoud Dariani (Fanwood, N.J.), Scott Mough (Wilmington, N.C.), Shaileshkumar Ramanlal Desai (Wilmington, N.C.) and Autumn Beauchamp (Wilmington, N.C.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Solid forms of psilocin and methods for their production and use with one or more improved properties as compared to psilocin and amorphous psilocin salts thereof are provided."

The patent was filed on Sept. 18, 2024, under Application No. 18/888,371.
