ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,535,735, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to Lintfield Ltd. (Kent, Great Britain) and Tokyo Electron Ltd. (Tokyo).

"Modified thioxanthone photoinitiators" was invented by Christopher Wall (Tonbridge, Great Britain), Cong-Que Dinh (Tokyo) and Seiji Nagahara (Tokyo).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Latent photoinitiator compounds are described, as well as compositions containing such compounds and their uses in photoinitiated methods for producing photoresist structured."

The patent was filed on Jan. 15, 2021, under Application No. 17/791,834.
