ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 30 -- United States Patent no. 12,374,679, issued on July 29, was assigned to LILAC SOLUTIONS INC. (Oakland, Calif.).
"Ion exchange system for lithium extraction" was invented by David Henry Snydacker (San Francsico, Calif.), Alexander John Grant (San Francisco) and Ryan Ali Zarkesh (Richmond, Calif.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to the extraction of lithium from liquid resources such as natural and synthetic brines, leachate solutions from clays and minerals, and recycled products."
The patent was filed on Jan. 27, 2020, under Application No. 16/773,625.
