US Patent Issued to LifeCell on Jan. 27 for "Tissue packaging and method of using same" (New Jersey Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Jan. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,532,881, issued on Jan. 27, was assigned to LifeCell Corp. (North Chicago, Ill.).

"Tissue packaging and method of using same" was invented by Barbara L. Merboth (Bridgewater, N.J.), Jennifer Hwang (Branchburg, N.J.) and Suranga Suraweera (Morristown, N.J.).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present disclosure provides tissue matrix packaging devices and methods of use. The packaging can be used to help a tissue matrix sample retain its shape when being stored or transported."
