ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 9 -- United States Patent no. 12,286,855, issued on April 29, was assigned to Liberty Energy Services LLC (Denver).
"Wellhead connector safety sensor" was invented by Feras Bitar (Alberta, Canada) and Tom Romshek (Denver).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A wellhead connector system is improved by the addition of sense circuitry that is used to confirm proper engagement of cam locks that engage an adaptor which may be used for pressure pumping operations, such as hydraulic fracturing, or for perforating an oil or gas well."
The patent was filed on Dec. 7, 2023, under Application No. 18/531,875.
