According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A battery module includes a plurality of battery cells, and a bus bar for electrically connecting the plurality of battery cells, wherein the bus bar includes a bus bar body and a safety unit inserted into a part of the bus bar body and surrounded by the bus bar body, and wherein the safety unit includes a volumetric expansion resin, a conductive material and an adhesive."
