US Patent Issued to LG Electronics on Oct. 28 for "Refrigerator" (South Korean Inventor)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Oct. 28 -- United States Patent no. 12,455,107, issued on Oct. 28, was assigned to LG Electronics Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Refrigerator" was invented by Sangmyung Lee (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A refrigerator can easily detect the withdrawal of a vegetable box that can be withdrawn in the forward direction, due to the placement of a magnetic structure and a switch for detecting the withdrawal of the vegetable box at the rear part of the vegetable box."

The patent was filed on July 29, 2021, under Application No. 18/017,763.
