ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 25 -- United States Patent no. 12,342,251, issued on June 24, was assigned to LG Electronics Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Peer-to-peer communication for V2X service" was invented by Songgun Lee (Seoul, South Korea) and Hakseong Kim (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "Provided is peer-to-peer (P2P) communication for a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) service. A V2X apparatus establishes a P2P connection with a peer V2X apparatus on the basis of a V2X ID of the V2X apparatus."

The patent was filed on July 14, 2020, under Application No. 17/911,574.
