ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 3 -- United States Patent no. 12,348,892, issued on July 1, was assigned to LG Electronics Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).
"Display device and system" was invented by Kyoungryul Lim (Seoul, South Korea).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device may include a micro control unit configured to receive an IR signal and to operate in a low power mode or an active power mode, and may determine whether a wakeup signal is detected from the IR signal while the micro control unit operates in the low power mode and switch a power mode of the micro control unit from the low power mode to the active power mode when the wakeup signal is detected."
