ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 31 -- United States Patent no. 12,507,851, issued on Dec. 30, was assigned to LG Electronics Inc. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Robot cleaner" was invented by Woo Hong (Seoul, South Korea) and Sangik Lee (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A robot cleaner having a shielding module provided under a cleaner body is provided. The shielding module includes a cam and a hiding plate which rotate with the same phase angle about a same rotating shaft.
