ALEXANDRIA, Va., Feb. 17 -- United States Patent no. 12,557,382, issued on Feb. 17, was assigned to LG Display Co. Ltd. (South Korea).

"Display device having auxiliary wiring" was invented by Yong Il Kim (Dangjin-si, South Korea), Young Wook Lee (Paju-si, South Korea) and Na Ra Shin (Seoul, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device includes a multilayer passivation structure and has an undercut formed in the passivation structure such that a connection between a cathode and an auxiliary wiring is formed inside the undercut, so as to prevent voltage drop of the cathode and influence of hydrogen on thin film transistors and thus to improve reliability of the display device." ...
