According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "A display device includes a piezoelectric element vibrated according to input audio signals, a display panel configured to display an image, and an elastic member configured to connect a portion of the piezoelectric element and the display panel to transmit a vibration of the piezoelectric element to the display panel to improve sound quality in a display device which emits a sound from a display panel."
