US Patent Issued to LG Chem on June 10 for "Aerogel composite" (South Korean Inventors)

ALEXANDRIA, Va., June 18 -- United States Patent no. 12,326,214, issued on June 10, was assigned to LG Chem Ltd. (Seoul, South Korea).

"Aerogel composite" was invented by Mi Ri Kim (Daejeon, South Korea), Mi Kyoung Jin (Daejeon, South Korea), Kyoung Shil Oh (Daejeon, South Korea), Eun Yeong Jin (Daejeon, South Korea) and Taegyeong Kang (Daejeon, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An aerogel composite has excellent thermal stability and flame retardancy even when exposed to a high-temperature environment for a long period of time."

The patent was filed on Nov. 30, 2023, under Application No. 18/524,301.
