ALEXANDRIA, Va., Nov. 6 -- United States Patent no. 12,464,879, issued on Nov. 4, was assigned to Lextar Electronics Corp. (Hsinchu, Taiwan).

"Light emitting diode device" was invented by Chih-Hao Lin (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Jian-Chin Liang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Shih-Lun Lai (Hsinchu, Taiwan) and Jo-Hsiang Chen (Hsinchu, Taiwan).
