ALEXANDRIA, Va., Dec. 2 -- United States Patent no. 12,486,969, issued on Dec. 2, was assigned to Level 5 Adaptive LLC (Raleigh, N.C.).
"Article retention system" was invented by Patrick Ference (Raleigh, N.C.).
According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "An article retention system, process, and lighting system that allows articles, particularly holiday string lighting, to be hung about organic bodies, e.g. trees, having a substantial height. The present invention obviates the need to either harm the organic entity for affixation or wind an elongate string about a tree."
The patent was filed on Jan. 14, 2020, under Application No. 16/742,546.
