ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 10 -- United States Patent no. 12,411,347, issued on Sept. 9, was assigned to LESSENGERS Inc. (Pohang-si, South Korea).

"Polymer rod that shapes emitted light into symmetrical light" was invented by Chong Cook Kim (Seoul, South Korea) and Myeong Ho Kim (Pohang-si, South Korea).

According to the abstract* released by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office: "The present invention relates to a polymer rod that shapes emission light emitted from a light source chip into symmetrical light and, more particularly, to a polymer rod that is formed on a light emission part of a laser diode so as to change the shape of emission light."
